Books to Help You Get Through Quarantine
I am and have always been a Certified Book Girl. I love reading and honestly anything literary adjacent. We're living in a weird world right now, and if you've drained your Netflix queue and have gone down every imaginable YouTube hole, maybe it's time to dust off those paperbacks collecting dust in the corner or leveling a wobbly table. If you need any ideas, I've rounded up a few I've loved and in honor of International Independent Bookstore day, a link from an indie bookstore that would love any and all support:

This is honestly one of the best books I have ever read, almost a modern day version of The Bell Jar. Moshfegh tackles the intersection of depression, privilege and loneliness beautifully by offering a light at the end of the tunnel. If this time has been extra hard on you mentally, this book will show you it's okay to feel these feelings but give you the motivation to look forward to a time when this is all over.
An art we all need to perfect right now. No further explanation needed.
Bernadette is an agoraphobic who later goes on an adventure of a lifetime. Something we can all hope to do when this is over. Plus Bernadette's one liners are a total MOOD.
Oona's life is the perfect metaphor for this time. We all seem to have lost control of our world, our time, and our lives. We're trying to make the best of everything, and gain some authority for our paths.
A childhood classic that emphasizes the strength of imagination that can be found at home. I'm sure we're all wishing we had a wardrobe to Narnia right now. Though, we don't want to spread the virus to them!
