Nordstrom Sale Plus Size Athletic Favorites
So, it is that time of year again, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! The couple of weeks a year where every single blogger posts non-stop about the killer deals and stock up on name-brand items they can highlight on their feed for months to come. As a plus-size girl, I often felt like I couldn't shop the sale, as everyone I followed was straight sized and everything they were showcasing wouldn't even go over my head. So, in an attempt to make sure everyone felt included in the most hyped sale of the year, this week I will be highlighting some amazing plus-size and size inclusive options in a few different categories. Today, I wanted to highlight some athletic wear, because contrary to popular belief, plus size people do workout and move their bodies and we deserve to look and feel cute doing so!!!
I have been seeing these shoes EVERYWHERE and though I'm usually a boring black and white sneaker kinda girl, I have to admit these bad boys are calling my name! Nike is by far my favorite brand for quality workout shoes, so I know these will not disappoint!
Soooo I have a confession to make... I finally gave in and bought a pair of bike shorts and now I am kind of obsessed. I had been traumatized by all those days I spent rocking peace sign and tie-dye spandex shorts under long green athletic shorts (or Homecoming dresses) and could not even bare the thought of succumbing to this trend but here we are! Gone are the days of doing the little spread and tug to fix your jogging shorts and I am here for it.
Idk about you but nothing blends street style and activewear quite like joggers. They can easily be taken off the trails or out of the gym and work with your everyday style! We love a versatile piece.
So even when gyms open in NYC, I'm not sure how comfortable I will feel going to them so I will be working out outside as long as it is possible! This super cute jacket might make me last a little longer.
Everyone needs a quality pair of basic black leggings and these might just be my new favorite! Another super versatile look, as not only could you pair it will all of your workout tops, you can throw a sweater on with it you've got the perfect fall look.
Where are my VSCO girls at?? You have got to stay hydrated while working out and this is honestly one of the prettiest bottles I have ever seen so it's basically already in my cart and my kitchen cabinet stuffed with bottles is CRYING but it is fine.
So you've picked up a pair of black leggings, a pair of black bike shorts, a black sports bra, some black sneakers... why not add a pop of color? Wearing clothes that make you happy will make you want to work out (even when you're hours deep into a Netflix binge)and this pink makes me happier than I've been for most of 2020.
I tried this bra on in store once and let me tell you- it doe not mess around. It's super comfortable but keeps your girls glued to your chest and in place so you can run, jump, hop, skip, honestly the possibilities are endless.
All black leggings not your thing? These fun patterned leggings may just be your perfect fit! Zella is known for their amazing quality, fit, and longevity and are a great investment (but still wallet friendly) if you've stretched your old Target leggings to oblivion.
Love the compression the Spanx leather leggings give you? Why not have that same feeling when you work out? Keep everything held together and in place so you can focus on beating your time or holding that new pose!
Let's be real, it will not be pants weather for many moons, so it is important to stock up on as many active shorts you can (especially if you're steering clear of gyms!) and these just look super comfortable!
