Friday Fab Five- Getting That Red Lip Classic Thing That You Like With My Five Favorite Red Lipsticks
What better way to welcome a Friday in August than by rounding up some of my tried and true red lipsticks! A mix of matte and satin, long lasting pigmented beauties and subtle wearable shades- all of them stay at the top of my makeup bag.
One of the very first red lipsticks I bought and still stays in my rotation to this day (not advocating for using makeup for years and years but I am going to continue to do that). Long lasting without being uncomfortable and the prettiest red out there.
I love a drugstore beauty find, I got this in a Target randomly before going out and wanted a red lip and boy was I surprised to keep coming back to it again and again! It really does stay on without transferring or budging- even when eating.
Listen MAC is the OG and this blue-ish red is the perfect bright red lip and compliments most skin tones. Every makeup wearer needs one in their collection to pop on and feel utterly powerful.
I know, I know, this is pricey and maybe this is something we wait for a Sephora Sale for but if you had told me in 2016 that a matte lipstick would be comfortable and not make my lips feel like the Sahara Desert I would simply not believe you. This is the real deal and I find myself not having to apply chapstick throughout the day if I do a few touch ups with this lipstick.
This is certainly not a need, but I am a sucker for beautiful packaging and this is really everything I could want in a lipstick tube. This satin is almost like a pigmented gloss with tons of shine and it is just really the ultimate girly experience.
